Dear Sir,
We are aware that RIL is an active player in the wind energy sector and other alternative energy sector.
I am from the Konkan area of Maharashtra. I am aware of some sites which will boost wind energy production at minimal cost in the country.
Kokan area of Maharastra has a vast sea shore of 720 km. It has a range of Sahyadri hills across sea shore. The area covers vast sunshine as well as natural wind giving huge potential to alternate energy production.
Though the land near the sea shore is very costly due to tourism industry, the land on hill tops is available at very cheap rates even for lease, as it has basalt Rock. Due to its Rocky nature, such areas are not used for agricultural purposes. The winds coming from Sindhu sagar ( Arabian sea hovers through this hills 24 hours.
Myself has this experience from a part of konkan in Guhagar taluka of Ratnagiri district, Maharashtra between Kajurli and Sade Jambhari having a stretch of 16 KM on hill tops. Similar areas exist on hill tops of my native village Veer in Chiplun Taluka of Ratnagiri district where wind flows constantly.
I thought, why not utilize these natural resources to produce a wind energy which needs minimum land and it is eco friendly. You may also find similar opportunities elsewhere in Konkan which will develope non poluting industries and give extra income to people of Konkan.
